My Approach

Neurodevelopmental conditions are not character flaws, failures of effort, or problems to be fixed. They are variations in how the brain develops and functions — variations with real biological underpinnings that we understand far better than we did even a decade ago.

I approach evaluation thoroughly, with attention to how things present across the lifespan, and with honest acknowledgment of what we know and don't know.

I spend real time on education — about your diagnosis, about the mechanisms behind the medications I recommend, about what the evidence actually says. My goal is for you to leave appointments with a clearer picture of your own brain, not just a prescription.

I take seriously that psychiatric care doesn't happen only in the appointment room.

Coordinating with your other providers, navigating medication access, managing the friction that comes with chronic conditions and complex systems — that's part of the work too.
